TIRANA, July 20 – Chinese President Xi Jinping met former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in Beijing.
Xi Jinping said that the normalization of ties between China and the US brought benefits to both countries and changed the world, according to Cri.al on Thursday.
China will never forget the old friend, who gave historical help to Sino-American relations and the friendship between the peoples of the two countries, said Xi.
Kissinger said that Sino-American ties are important for the peace and progress of the societies of both countries.
The 100-year-old Kissinger has visited China over 100 times since 1971.
While serving as national security adviser more than 50 years ago, Kissinger made a secret trip to China, which led to then-President Richard Nixon’s visit to China in 1972.
