TIRANA, July 26 – Deputy of the Democratic Party (DP), Jorida Tabaku reacted on Wednesday to the devaluation of the European currency in relation to the Albanian currency lek.
“The wrong path of the Albanian economy and the wrong policies of the government are bringing great consequences for enterprises,” said Tabaku, an expert in economics, in a post on social networks. According to her, the devaluation of the euro does not come as a result of economic growth, but the reason is from informal sources.
“The devaluation of the euro currency does not come as a result of economic growth, nor as a result of the increase in domestic production, the growth of the main sectors such as agriculture, which is in decline,” she said, adding that the reason for the devaluation of the euro is, among other things, informal sources, mainly in construction, especially in Tirana and the inability of the government to invest or spend the taxes it collects from Albanians in real projects.
The deputy announced that the cost that is being caused today to the economy, to the exporters’ enterprise, which also maintains the trade balance, is colossal. “It is estimated that the losses are 31 million euros from the devaluation of the euro in the companies’ incomes,” said MP Tabaku. /argumentum.al
