TIRANA, August 7 – The month of August continues to record high numbers of movement at the border points of Albania with Greece and North Macedonia.
In the last 24 hours, 5140 entries and 4270 exits were registered in Kapshtica, while 2890 persons entered and 2057 others exited from Qafë Thana, according to Top Channel on Monday.
The greatest flow of movements was observed during the weekend as most travelers are immigrants or foreign nationals, who come on holidays in Albania or who leave after finishing their holidays. Despite the increased flow of traffic, crossing the border has not been difficult and travelers at the Kapshtica border crossing indicate that there have been no delays.
In order not to create problems and queues, 6 counters from the Albanian side and 3 from the Greek side have been made available in Kapshtica, while in Qafë Thane delays of up to 1 hour have been caused in some moments due to the immediate influx. /argumentum.al
