TIRANA, September 4 – The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani asked again in Tirana on Monday that Albania be the voice of Kosovo in all those institutions and international organizations, where her country has not yet become a part.
Osmani asked for the unification of foreign policy, underlining that this was also the purpose of her visit at the joint press conference with President Bajram Begaj.
“Our strategic goal is membership in NATO and the European Union and in all other international organizations where we have a state interest,” she said after the meeting with Begaj during her two-day visit to Albania.
Osmani said that in the face of challenges, the two countries stand together, focused on Euro-Atlantic integration.
“Kosovo and Albania have a unique, historical, cultural and national connection that makes our cooperation and our ties strong and unbreakable,” she said.
The President of Kosovo emphasized that the signing of 13 agreements 2 months ago aims to ease the lives of citizens in both countries.
The president said that the state of Kosovo, like Albania, has a clear pro-European and pro-Atlantic orientation.
She also raised her voice for the support of Kosovo Albanians in Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanovc.
Focusing on the issue of dialogue with Serbia, Osmani said that the only way that brings long-term peace and stability to the Western Balkans is when the end result is mutual recognition.
“The dialogue with Serbia is continuing, but the only way that brings long-term peace and stability to our region is when the final result is mutual recognition and the preservation of the territorial integrity, sovereignty, constitutional order and internal functionality of the Republic of Kosovo,” said the Kosovo head of state. /argumentum.al
