TIRANA, September 11 – “Acceleration of the integration process of the Western Balkans in the EU can only be achieved through the strengthening of regional cooperation, guided by security and stability,” said President Bajram Begaj, who is participating in the meeting of leaders of the Brdo-Brijuni Process that opened in Skopje on Monday.
“We must encourage European values so that our young people feel optimistic about building the future in their country,” said the President in a post with a view of the summit.
Begaj also started the bilateral meetings in the framework of the summit. He held a meeting with his North Macedonian counterpart, Stevo Pendarovski.
“Together with my friend, President Stevo Pendarovski, we appreciated the very good relations between Albania and North Macedonia, which are an example of constructive cooperation, in the interest not only of the progress of both countries, but of the entire region,” he said.
Begaj also held a meeting with the Representatives of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and they discussed the necessity of promoting the spirit of regional and comprehensive cooperation for a Western Balkans as safe as possible and integrated as soon as possible in the European Union. /argumentum.al
