TIRANA, September 12 – The Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, received on Tuesday the delegation of the Senate of the Czech Republic, headed by the Vice President, Jiri Oberfalzer, who is conducting an official visit to Albania.
Nikolla appreciated the very good political cooperation between Albania and the Czech Republic as well as that in other areas such as public order and security, defense, energy, railway infrastructure, transport, water management, tourism, agriculture, food industry, education, science, culture etc. According to her, there are all possibilities for this cooperation to advance and expand.
Nikolla expressed gratitude for the support of the Czech Republic as an advocate for Albania’s EU membership and the belief that this support will continue.
In addition the Speaker expressed gratitude for Czech support of Kosovo due to the fact that the decision to liberalize visas for citizens of Kosovo was taken during the Czech Presidency of the EU as well as for the support of Kosovo’s application for admission to the Council of Europe.
The Vice-President of the Senate, Jiri Oberfalzer, praised the cooperation between the two countries so far and underlined that the Czech Republic will continue to support the European integration of Albania, as it has done since the first day after its admission as a member of the EU. /argumentum.al
