TIRANA, September 19 – Interior Minister Taulant Balla thanked the officers of the “Guardia di Finanza” (GdF), who took part in the aerial monitoring campaign for 2023, during a ceremony held at Rinas airport on Tuesday in which high officials of the State Police and the ambassador of Italy in Tirana Fabrizio Bucci also participated.
Balla pointed out the importance of the “GdF” mission in the fight against the cultivation of narcotic plants and expressed gratitude on behalf of the Albanian state for their work.
“Today we are here in Rinas on the occasion of your departure at the end of the Air Monitoring Campaign 2023, which counted 185 flight hours, 63 flight missions, from north to south and countless results achieved in cooperation with our police forces”, said Balla.
The Minister touched upon the police cooperation between the two countries, saying that missions like this one that just ended are a living proof of the closeness of the Italian institutions to the Albanian institutions, especially between the “Guardia di Finanza” and the Albanian forces of the State Police.
For his part, Ambassador Bucci conveyed the message that the common fight against criminality and drug trafficking continues until the final victory. /argumentum.al
