TIRANA, October 8 – The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, participated in the ministerial conference, which took place in Skopje, North Macedonia, at the invitation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of North Macedonia, Ljupcho Nikolovski.
“In the presence of Fatmir Bytyqi, Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia and the counterpart of the Republic of Kosovo, Faton Peci, of Montenegro, Vladimir Joković and Miroslav Marinov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Bulgaria, as well as Nabil Gangi, head of the regional office of FAO for Europe and Asia, in the presence of international organizations and the academic world, we discussed the measures taken and the projections related to the Green Agenda within the framework of the tasks arising because of the climate change,” said Denaj in a post on social networks.
She added that Albania provides a very good irrigation system for its geography and the potential of water resources, but this can turn into a threat in cases when climate change has a higher impact.
The minister expressed gratitude for the cooperation with the World Bank which will build the digital platform for intelligent agriculture in Albania worth 29 million euros, which aims to guide farmers towards more sustainable agricultural practices. /argumentum.al
