TIRANA, October 16 – Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said in a press conference after the Berlin Process Summit that was held in Tirana on Monday that he condemned the September 24 terrorist attack in Banjska, northern Kosovo, sponsored by Serbia during the proceedings of the Summit.
“I have condemned it once again, and I have demanded that everyone condemn the terrorist, criminal attack, the act of aggression of Serbia in Kosovo that killed the police sergeant, the hero of Kosovo, Afrim Bunjaku and wounded two others, which represented a violation of our territorial integrity, state sovereignty and national security,” said Kurti.
He added that we need more security for Kosovo. “We also need security for Kosovo, more security for Kosovo, these continuous attacks are a matter of security,” he said.
Kurti stressed that Kosovo is still threatened with invasion from Serbia and against this background the terrorist act of September 24 should not go unpunished.
“I am for the implementation of the Ohrid agreement. Now that (Aleksandar) Vucic is busy in China, I say that we should sign the basic agreement together with the Prime Minister of Serbia, but she is still not interested,” said Kurti.
In the meantime Serbia’s PM Brnabic was the sole leader to boycott the family photo of the Berlin Process Summit in Tirana, citing the presence of the Kosovo flag. This act is another violation of the Basic Treaty agreed upon by Serbia, which obligates the recognition of Kosovo symbols.
But Brnabic has denied this, telling the Serbian media that no one had informed her that they would appear in the photographs, so she was ‘delayed’! /argumentum.al
