TIRANA, October 17 – The vice-chairman of the Freedom Party (FP), Petrit Vasili, reacted after the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron about the suspension of visas for Kosovo.
Through a reaction on the Facebook social network quoted by local media on Tuesday, Vasili said that this is not the first time that Macron’s statements have been manipulated by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
“It is not the first time that Macron’s statements have been manipulated by Rama. The same thing happened in 2019 when Rama and his media team blamed Macron for not opening negotiations with Albania, and the French President himself was forced to deny that,” said Vasili.
According to FP’s deputy head, President Macron’s Cabinet has clarified that it is the opposite and precisely that France is unwavering in the decision to liberalize visas for Kosovo.
Below is what Vasili published on social networks saying that was Macron’s true statement according to his Cabinet: “I want to say one thing very clearly. We have made a gesture of confidence on the issue of visas. As for France, visas have been waived because we respect our word. And today, the word is not being kept.” /argumentum.al
