TIRANA, October 31 – Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted to the statement of the head of Republika Srpska in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, who demanded that Kosovo, Montenegro and Republika Srpska join Serbia.
“Three days have passed since the dangerous and inciting statements against Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro,” said Rama on social networks on Tuesday.
“I must confess, I am surprised by the lack of response so far from our EU partners and I sincerely hope that this silence will be broken as soon as possible!” said Prime Minister Rama.
Dodik said two days ago that the Serbs in this century should “form a single state, consisting of Serbia, Kosovo and Montenegro, with democratic means and political measures, not with war and leave it to future generations.”
In addition to that Serb President Aleksandar Vucic challenged again on Tuesday the calls of Western diplomacy to fulfill the obligations from the agreement for the normalization of relations with Kosovo, which imply de facto recognition of its independence.
“For us, the recognition of Kosovo’s independence is not an issue and I have repeated this several times and I am not ashamed to say it and repeat it in front of the president of the European Commission”, he said during a joint conference for journalists with the president of the Commission European, Ursula Von der Leyen, reported VOA.
“For Serbia, it is clear what I cannot do against its Constitution, and we have informed all our partners about this not only once but several times. This is the position of Serbia and we know, I repeat, what Serbia has accepted and what we have talked about, debated and approved the conclusions of the Parliament of Serbia and in accordance with this we will behave responsibly and seriously in fulfilling our obligations,” said the Serbian president. /argumentum.al
