TIRANA, November 8 – The head of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta was at SPAK headquarters on Wednesday and as it is reported that had to do with the CEZ-DIA case.
In a statement to the media before entering SPAK offices, Meta told journalists that he was called for a case which is simply a telenovela. “I was called for the soap opera CEZ-DIA,” said Meta. “It is a telenovela, which has been tried twice, which was reopened for the specific case in December 2019 by a false accuser, who was convicted twice by the courts for defamation and who was convicted once by court for domestic violence,” he said.
Meanwhile, after leaving SPAK where he stayed for about 2 hours, Meta told reporters that he was asked by the prosecutors as a person who has knowledge of the circumstances regarding the investigation of the CEZ-DIA case. He reiterated that his name is not in any act or document.
“My answer is what I have said before and that I will emphasize in any case, there is no act, no document, no order, no initiative for laws, by-laws by Ilir Meta as Minister of Economy or Deputy Prime Minister in the interest of nobody, including DIA and CEZ and even the Ministry of Economy as the owner of 100% of KESH shares has denounced ERE’s decision to purchase energy to the detriment of consumers,” said Meta.
He was not surprised by any abuse of justice and was not worried at all by his appearance at SPAK. “I am here in front of you and in front of the citizens and no one should have the illusion that in this way they will be able to defocus Meta or the opposition from the battle against this regime,” said FP head. /argumentum.al
