TIRANA, November 10 – As a former prime minister who had experience with international agreements, one of which was the sea agreement with Greece that was overturned by the Constitutional Court, Sali Berisha has ensured that the agreement that current PM Edi Rama signed with his Italian counterpart Meloni for creating an asylum camp is both in spirit and letter in violation of the Constitution.
“Read the law of agreements, the chapter of full power. This law, drafted on the basis of the decision of the Constitutional Court, is correct. Edi Rama has completely avoided the President of the Republic,” said Berisha in the regular Friday press conference.
The head of the democrats considered it a provocation by MP Çollaku to align himself with the majority, when the opposition is protesting to protect the rights of all legislators. “Any MP who provokes them in a protest is a low-level provocateur.”
The Democrats have decided to convene the National Assembly on December 2, where Sali Berisha will be voted in as party leader, but they will also decide on the opposition action they will follow after the blocking situation in Parliament, which so far has not had any reaction from the majority. /argumentum.al
