TIRANA, November 23 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha held a conversation with members and sympathizers in the city of Elbasan on Thursday.
Berisha said that this is “one of the most critical moments of our 32-year pluralist history”.
“In the situation created, democracy in Albania is at its peak, it is in the most serious aggression in 32 years. Democracy in Albania needs to be destroyed at any price and by a man who will have all the powers in his hands,” emphasized Berisha.
He said that it has never happened that the government does not allow parliamentary investigative commissions.
“The constitution has divided the powers. It has given the main powers to the one who has more deputies in the parliament, but it has also left a power, a veto, to the so-called minority. This power and this veto is his constitutional right to investigate the government in your name”, said Berisha.
He also stated that the real cause of the declaration of him persona non grata by the US is that in 2021 he came out against the joint DP-SP coalition. /argumentum.al
