Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Albania for the first time on February 28, while Ukraine has been at war with Russia since February 2022.
Tirana will host a Peace Summit, where undoubtedly the focus will be on the war, and President Zelensky himself will be present.

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the summit and Zelensky’s visit to Tirana from Skopje on January 22, after attending a conference with Western Balkans leaders, “Western Balkans Growth Plan and Fast-track Integration into the EU”.
One day later, on February 29, the capital will host the leaders of the Western Balkans, where the focus will be on the path of Western Balkan countries towards the EU, as well as the implementation of the Economic Growth Plan, which aims to extend the benefits of the EU Single Market to the region before formal accession, aiming for a positive contribution to economic growth and speeding up socio-economic convergence with the EU.
