The Council of Albanian Ambassadors welcomes Secretary Blinken’s visit to Albania and believes that it underscores the unwavering commitment of the United States to stand by Albania and the entire region, by offering continuous support for their security, stability and prosperity.
We believe that such diplomatic engagements reinforces the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation, as strategic partner countries, NATO members and contributors to peace and stability.
Secretary Blinken’s visit to Albania also represents a pivotal moment of solidarity and commitment from the United States in addressing pressing issues affecting not only the Republic of Albania but also Albanians in the region.
The Council of Albanian Ambassadors appeals that a much stronger focus is needed on resolving the situation in the north of Kosova by establishing state authority throughout the country, as well as advocating for the rights of the Albanians in the Presheva Valley.
The Council of Albanian Ambassadors cherish the strong strategic partnership with USA and appreciates their efforts to fight corruption at all level, build the rule of law and strengthen a democratic society.
