Prime Minister Edi Rama today started a two-day official visit to Paris, France, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, where he will hold a series of meetings mainly focused on promoting the potentials and positive climate that Albania offers for the development of foreign investments, such as and in the perspective of cooperation between the two countries in the field of technology and innovation.
Specifically, on Friday at 8.30, Prime Minister Rama will hold a working morning with the Union of Entrepreneurs of France MEDEF, under the direction of Mr. Jean-Paul Agon, president of the L’Oréal group and of the France-Albania committee at MEDEF, with the participation of 35 representatives of prestigious French companies, as well as other guests from the business world. During the meeting, some of the priority areas for investment in Albania will be presented, of mutual interest to both countries, and then Prime Minister Rama will hold individual meetings with leaders of the participating enterprises.
On Friday, at 12:30 p.m., the official welcome ceremony will take place, and then at 1:00 p.m., Prime Minister Rama will arrive at the Elysee Palace, where he will be welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron, with whom he will also make a statement about Press.
Afterwards, in the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama and French President Macron, several intergovernmental agreements and memoranda of understanding between the countries will be signed.
At 14.45, Prime Minister Edi Rama and French President Macron will hold a face-to-face meeting between them.
The agenda will continue at 16.00 with the visit and meetings at STATION F, the world’s largest startup and innovation incubator, as well as the inaugural meeting of the France-Albania Innovation Council – CIFA, where the Secretary will also participate French State for Digital Industry, representatives of the French Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economy, as well as various French and Albanian operators in the field of innovation.
Together with Prime Minister Rama part of the government delegation will be the Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu, the Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro, the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhe, the Minister of State for Local Government Arbjan Mazniku, as well as the Minister of the State for Public Administration and Anticorruption Adea Pirdeni.
