Speaking of the challenges ahead Mr. Roche said work should be improved to promote the trade performance of the Chamber and the adaptation of Chamber’s practices in accordance with the best French CCIs
TIRANA – “We should anticipate and prepare for the future but we must be particularly proud of what we are today,” has said the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France -Albania (CCI France- Albanie), Julien Roche.
Mr. Roche made that comment in his address at the 7th annual General Assembly of CCI France- Albanie which was held on October 2, 2019 in Tirana being attended by the members of the Chamber, Albanian State Minister for Entrepreneurship Eduard Shalsi, Director of AIDA Sokol Nako, French Ambassador to Tirana Christina Vasak and friends of the CCI France- Albanie.
At the outset of the Assembly Mr. Roche welcomed the new members congratulating and thanking them for the membership in the Chamber which, as he said, is beyond being a local structure of a business community. “This structure represents 124 international French chambers in 93 countries having 37,000 members. The membership in the CCI France-Albanie offers many advantages to a company irrespective of its size,” he said, adding that for the Chamber to function as such a contribution should be made.
Speaking of the challenges ahead Mr. Roche said work should be improved to promote the trade performance of the Chamber; the adaptation of Chamber’s practices in accordance with the best French CCIs. “We should create a platform for exchanges and communication for the administrators and members so that they can meet regularly,” he said.
Speaking of what he called ‘big projects’ for the year 2020, CCI France-Albanie President Roche noted that that the Congress of entrepreneurs will be held in 2020 in Albania. “The next Congress of the travel Entrepreneurs will be held in Albania from May 29 to 2 June 2020” he said adding that the Chamber is among the organizers of the event.
On the other hand it is aimed the growth of the presence of the French Agency for Development with more projects for Albania. In the meantime he announced that ‘Transavia’ Airlines will have flights Paris-Tirana-Paris during all the year.
In her remarks, the French Ambassador, Christina Vasak spoke of the presence of the French Agency for Development and some projects being implemented by it in Albania as in energy, 24-hour drinking water supply, while ‘Transavia’’ Airlines will have flights to Tirana. The Ambassador also touched upon the issue of the opening of the EU accession negotiations with Albania.
The General Assembly was followed by a cocktail during which besides the greetings by Mr. Roche. Ambassador Vasak and Minister Shalsi the guests exchanged views on new projects in the frame of CCI France-Albanie. /argumentum.al
