TIRANA – In Tuesday’s update by the health ministry it is reported that the total number of fatalities due to the coronavirus pandemic has risen to 13 as two patients passed away during the last 24 hours.
“A bad news is on the increase of the number of victims. Only during the last 24 hours two patients affected by coronavirus lost their life. They suffered from accompanying diseases. So the total number of victims amounts to 13 up to now,” said deputy health minister Mira Rakacolli in the daily update on Tuesday.
In addition she said that the number of the affected persons stands at 243 with 20 people added to this figure in the last 24 hours. Some 145 persons had been tested and the total number of tested people is 1671 at national level.
Currently 77 patients are hospitalized at the infectious hospital out of whom 8 are in intensive therapy. According to her, the map of the infected people is expanded in Tirana, Durres, Shkodra, Mirdita and Korca.
There are 129 cases in Tirana, while the coastline city of Durres registered 26 cases a sharp increase as compared with previous days. Fier is ranked the third with 23 cases./argumentum.al
