TIRANA – Greek authorities have not prevented Albanians to leave Greece for entering Albania through the border checkpoints between the two countries, a press release distributed by the public diplomacy office of the Greek Embassy in Tirana has said.
This clarification was made on Tuesday, according to the press release, in response to “confusing information transmitted by Albanian media on difficulties faced by Albanians who want to come from Greece to Albania.”
“In absolutely no case Greek authorities do not prevent the exit from the country of Albanian citizens who want to enter Albania through Greek-Albanian checkpoints,” said the Embassy.
In addition the press release stressed that special amendments had been decreed which provide for the extension of the staying permits expiring during the timeframe that emergency measures are in force./argumentum.al
