TIRANA – Albania’s Parliament on Thursday approved an agreement on military cooperation with Turkey, Anadolu Agency has said adding that the accord provides for the two countries to strengthen military cooperation along with restructuring of Albanian Armed Forces.
The agreement and a protocol on financial assistance will help the Albanian Armed Forces’ restructuring. They were signed last fall by Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and his Albanian counterpart Olta Xhacka.
The two NATO allies also signed in February a Defense Cooperation Plan. /argumentum.al
