TIRANA – The 2019-2020 school year will be closed for most of the students due to the coronavirus pandemic in Albania, has said the Education Minister, Besa Shahini, who explained that only high school graduates will return to school from May 18 to June 5 in order to prepare for the State Matura.
“This school year will end in June 2020. Matura exams will take place in the shortest period from 8 to 18 June. Exams for the 5th and the 9th grades are canceled,” said Shahini in a videoconference on Tuesday.
In the meantime, the minister announced that the online lesson will continue for the rest of the schools until May 29. Schools will reopen in September, said Shahini. /argumentum.al
