TIRANA – The US Embassy has launched an appeal for the establishment of the Constitutional Court as soon as possible in Albania. In a post on Twitter on Tuesday a short time before the interview of the Ambassador, Yuri Kim, on a local TV during which justice reform was high on its agenda.
The Embassy said people should not be kept waiting. Below is the announcement of the Embassy:
“Justice reform has made real progress but still requires work… it is time for all leaders to show political will and establish the Constitutional Court. The people should not have to keep waiting.”
The US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim spoke in an interview broadcasted by Euronews Albania TV on Tuesday evening focusing on justice reform, the Constitutional Court, political leaders who do not want reform in judiciary without mentioning any names, relationship with political camps siding with none, and other issues. /argumentum.al
