TIRANA – The relaxed restrictions as well as the one-digit tally of new coronavirus affected cases continue to be accompanied with cautionary warnings of health authorities bringing to the attention of the citizens their individual responsibility to check the spread of the pandemic.
As for new cases were reported (2 in Tirana and 2 in Berat) on Wednesday the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu brought back some very important rules that citizens shouldn’t forget.
Staying home as much as possible, working from home, maintaining personal hygiene, avoiding contacts, and social distancing are the rules the Minister wants citizens to continue respecting.
“Following the ease of restriction measures, these rules are very important to check further COVID-19 spread, to protect yourself and others,” Manastirliu said.
Albania reported four new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, same as three past days, bringing the total number of infected to 880. Two cases have been confirmed in Tirana and two in Berat.
Among the four new cases reported on Wednesday is a pregnant woman, said the expert at Health Ministry, Flutura Beqo revealing that 21 people are hospitalized, one of whom is in the intensive care unit. In the last 24 hours, six people have recovered.
“In the last day, 246 citizens suspected of being affected by Covid-19 have been tested, of which 4 citizens have resulted positive, respectively 2 in Tirana and 2 in Berat, among whom a pregnant woman, while 6 citizens have recovered. To date, 880 citizens across the country have tested positive for COVID-19, 78% of whom have recovered,” said Beqo.
Further on the expert noted that situation at the two COVID hospitals in Tirana continues to be stable. Beqo explained that Tirana, Kruja, and Shkodra continue to be the focus of the attention of the specialists with higher probabilities of spread of the virus. /argumentum.al
