TIRANA – Another relaxation package of the restrictions due to the pandemic have been announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama who unveiled on Friday the concrete businesses which will be opened on May 18 amidst warnings for individual responsibility of the citizens.
This further easing of the lockdown will cover the entire territory of Albania, which means red and yellow zones. According to this decision, bars, restaurants, shops and hotels will reopen and children of certain grades will be able to attend classes.
“Besides public transport, indoor areas of bars and restaurants, gyms, sports centers, theaters, cinemas and nightclubs or indoor playgrounds, everything else will be opened,” said Rama in his expected announcement.
Albania went into lockdown on March 9 this year in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision to further ease the lockdown was taken despite the fact that infection rates increased for the second day in a raw from 4 to 18 in 24 hours.
