“I appreciate the Ambassador for her frankness and fairness of judging, as a diplomat who respects, in the first place, the institutions of the host country,” has said President Ilir Meta in a ceremony during which he awarded the French Ambassador, Christina Vasak with the high title “For Special Civil Merits’ in recognition of her contribution to the process of European integration of Albania.
Ambassador Vasak, a career diplomat, is going to leave Albania as her ambassadorial tenure has come to an end after being at the helm of the French Embassy since June 2017 when she took over as the new French Ambassador to this Balkan country replacing Mr. Bernard Fitoussi.
In his remarks at the ceremony which was attended by ambassadors and other representatives of the diplomatic corps in Tirana on Tuesday, President Meta commended Ambassador Vasak for her dynamism in promoting and strengthening the relations between Albania and France.
“I appreciate the Ambassador for her frankness and fairness of judging, as a diplomat who respects, in the first place, the institutions of the host country, who helps without any attempt to dictate, or take underserved protagonism. One of her values is simplicity In addition to professionalism,” said Meta.
