In a press conference on Tuesday Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the progressive tax will be reviewed, a tax which was imposed a few years ago on high salaries in Albania.
He recalled the promise and implementation of this promise to halve the small business tax, saying that this law will continue until 2029.
“We took care of the tax cuts at the end of 2013, we promised to halve the small business tax and we reduced the small business tax by half in the fiscal package in 2014. No one else can know this who doesn’t want to learn the truth or who is not directly related to the business,” he said.
Further on the PM announced that the salary will be 300 thousand ALL which will be a mandatory wage for private businesses in the country.
In a tit-fir-tat reaction former Democratic Party (DP) Jorida Tabaku published a video with the statements of Rama on the announcement of the National Recovery Plan, saying that he follows the column of lies and deceptions.
According to her, it is scary how the PM invents such a program just to instrumentalize it as the next lie.
“The column of lies and deceptions continues! It is scaring how a prime minister invents a program and christens it as the “National Economic Recovery Plan” just to instrumentalize it as the next lie,” she said. Tabaku considered all Rama’s promises as empty pledges.
“Nobody expects anything more from this cheeky charlatan who spares no one in the service of his yard planted with lies, empty promises and corruption,” said Tabaku./argumentum.al
