The main item of the agenda of the expected visit of the Greek FM, Nikos Dendias to Tirana will be the question of the maritime border and the negotiations that are expected to start between the two countries.
Just a few days ago, Dendias, who will be in Tirana on October 20, told the Greek media that he wants this issue to be resolved as soon as possible.
“We want to resolve this pending issue as soon as possible with Albania l. I hope that soon we will be able to catch the thread of the relevant talks again and achieve a result that will satisfy both parties. It is important
to close all open issues in the context of good neighborly relations and given the European perspective of our neighboring country, “Dendias said.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Greek media only a short time ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the issue between Greece and Albania is special, because the two countries can’t continue their expansion unilaterally without an agreement between them.
Rama said that the two states should reach an agreement by raising the issue in an international court. /argumentum.al
