“I don’t want to talk about Plan B. We have to succeed,” said Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, when asked by a journalist whether the state has a Plan B if the EU accession negotiations fail to start in December.
Zaev was quoted by Meta.Mk news agency as saying that the Government under his leadership never had a Plan B since in that case they would abandon Plan A.
Regarding the misunderstandings with Bulgaria and the possibility of blockades, Zaev believes there are solutions for the issues that pose a challenge.
He stated that the Macedonian – Bulgarian Joint Commission for Historical Issues will manage to find a solution.
North Macedonia like Albania expect to start the first intergovernmental session with the Union by December this year but so far no date has been set. /argumentum.al
