Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias held a telephone conversation with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The news was announced by the Greek chief diplomat himself, who stated that he discussed the latest regional developments
with the head of the Albanian government on Tuesday.
“I spoke by phone to #Albania PM @ediramaal. Recent regional developments in focus,” said Greek FM in his post.
Albania and Greece have high on their agenda in 2021 the sensible question of the delimitation of their maritime border which will be considered by the Hague Tribunal.
Earlier it was reported by Greek media that the Greek government is preparing to bring as the first bill to be voted in Parliament for this new year which will extend the country’s territorial waters to 12 navies miles in the Ionian Sea.
This means that the relevant bill will be the first to be introduced for discussion and voting immediately after the resumption of the work of the Parliament on January 11th, said To Vima.
This telephone talk was held as Albanian Prime Minister Rama will pay a two- day official visit to Turkey on President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s invitation on January 6. /argumentum.al
