The Mayor of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Loro Nrekiç has been detained along with four other employees of the administration he heads, Montenegrin media reported on Monday.
It is reported that the mayor of Ulcinj is being investigated for party related employments. The arrests were executed by order of the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Ulcinj.
In addition to Nrekiç, Sead Osmanović, Secretary of the Finance Secretariat of the Municipality of Ulcinj and Chief of the Municipal Board of the DPS Ulcinj party were also arrested; Mustafa Gorana, Secretary of the Secretariat for Municipal Services and Environmental Protection; Saubih Mehmeti, Director of the Protection and Rescue Service; Milazim Mustafa, Secretary of the Municipal Police and former Chairman of the Municipal Assembly of Ulcinj.
According to Montenegrin media, they were arrested on charges of party related employments in the municipality and negligence in service. /argumentum.al
