For the first time, since its membership, in 14 December 1955, to the United Nations, Albania is elected as a non permanent member to the United Nations Security Council, the highest UN body, for the term 2022-2023.
CAA congratulates Albania’s first election to the UN Security Council.
This is a welcome news for the country and for the region. Albania will have a key role to play for peace and security, especially in light of global challenges that need to be addressed in a renewed spirit of multilateral cooperation and consensus.
CAA expresses its full support to the core diplomatic team involved in this new task, and is confident that they will live up to its highly demanding responsibilities.
