Germany will assist Albania in the reorganization of the Criminal Police and the reform that will be done in its entirety in the State Police. This was announced by the Interior Minister, Bledi Cuci who received in a meeting the Ambassador of Germany to Albania Peter Zingraf on Monday.
The ambassador took the occasion to hand over the report of the Federal Police to Cuci.
“Today I had the pleasure to have the first meeting after the oath as Minister of Interior in the new government cabinet with the German Ambassador in Tirana Mr. Peter Zingraf. He officially handed over to me the report of the Federal Government on the reorganization of the Criminal Police and the reform that we will do as a whole in the State Police. As I informed the Parliament when I presented the Security Program, we will immediately start working with the German partners to advance this priority as well. The report submitted to me by the ambassador is a very important guide,” said Cuci.
He also mentioned the assistance of the Federal Police in the Parliament during the voting session of the new government. He also identified 4 elements that according to him will be the focus of this third mandate in the Security Program: Protection of the territory, strengthening law and order, providing the highest quality services and deepening the fight against any form of organized crime and illegal phenomena.
Regarding crime, Cuci said that the objective is to reduce crime below the average of EU countries. Meanwhileme he announced that security cameras will be installed at every road junction./ argumentum.al
