The National Assembly of the Democratic Party (DP) will convene and will not gather to consider any decision of the United States, but its agenda will be against the current chairman, Lulzim Basha.
This was the gist of the statement made by the DP Deputy, Flamur Noka made while speaking to the media on Thursday.
Noka said that the National Assembly of the Democratic Party convenes to review not any decision of the United States, because the decisions of the United States are judged by its institutions, but this Assembly will convene against Lulzim Basha, the chairman of the Democratic Party who already, according to him, is an illegitimate minority and does not represent the will of the majority of DP members.
“Basha has conducted a tour of meetings with the heads of the branches, calling on them, putting pressure, blackmailing them not to open the doors to the historical leader. He has done everything to sabotage his meetings. This is not only embarrassing, but it is disgusting. It also shows the panic that has gripped the chairman from the Democrat movement. He knows very well that he does not represent the majority and the will of the Democrats, he is an inconsiderable minority within the DP,” said Noka.
Asked if he fears expulsion by Lulzim Basha, Noka said he has been in the DP for 30 years.
“I am engaged in politics to contribute to my country, to the future of this country. What hurts me the most is the fate of the DP, the fate of democracy in Albania because Basha with that decision divided the DP and gave a fatal blow to the party. The only person who is happy with this decision is (PM) Edi Rama,” concluded Noka, a supporter of the historic leader of Democrats, Sali Berisha. / argumentum.al
