Albania’s Minister of Interior Bledi Cuci has described the report on terrorism released by the US State Department as an appreciation and encouragement in the joint fight.
“US State Department report on terrorism, appreciation and encouragement in the common war. The Ministry of Interior and the State Police remain fully committed and engaged against known and suspected terrorists and their acts, including financing,” said Cuci on Friday.
He stressed that, “as the Minister of Interior, he will continue to support the further strengthening of border security, the processes of verification and exchange of information on border crossings, the repatriation of women and minors from Syria and the unwanted declaration and deportation of anyone who poses a threat.”
The Minister thanked the US agencies for their support, trust and cooperation in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
The report on Albania released by State Department states that the country continued to strongly support international efforts against terrorism in 2020 and contributed to the Global Coalition to defeat ISIS. / Argumentum.al
