The tour ‘Refoundation of the Democratic Party’ has started in Shkodra, a Democratic stronghold in northern Albania, where the founder of this right-wing political force, Sali Berisha, launched the appeal to all Democrats to distance themselves from the current DP head, Lulzim Basha.
“I address all those democrats, who still in the most incredible way show the slightest support for Lulzim Brava (lock), give up on him. Abandon him as he is the shame of the earth, the shame of history. I tell the deputies of Shkodra: join your city, separate yourself from Lulzim Basha, because the mouse hole of this uninterrupted revolution is waiting for him,” Berisha said in a meeting with his supporters organized at the city stadium on Sunday.
Further on, he said no one has the right to play with political pluralism in Albania and those Albanians who support Basha ridicule freedom and the values of political pluralism in the country.
In a hint towards those internationals, who support Lulzim Basha and Edi Rama without mentioning any name, Berisha said they will fail while pledging that he and his supporters will take the DP.
Last September Berisha undertook the tour of meetings with the DP’s rank-and-file membership called ‘Foltore’ (rostrum) which took him to all corners of Albania and climaxed with the referendum on December 18 last year which decided the dismissal of Basha.
“Today, we gather in this stadium, on the 32nd anniversary of the first powerful anti-communist demonstration, with which the citizens of Shkodra liberated their city, forced the regime to remove the bust and the cult of the most savage, cruelest and most barbaric dictator of the 20th century, Joseph Stalin,” said Berisha.
According to him, today Albanians have a narco-prime minister, who tramples on the national interest, who is placed in alliance with Belgrade against Kosovo and the Albanian nation. “Today we have a narco-prime minister, who in 7 months spends 2.2 million euros on travel with a private personal plane and all is done without any interest for any Albanian, except himself. Today we have a narco-prime minister, who has imposed property confiscation laws, with the same standards as in 1946. Today we have a narco-prime minister, who in a hostile act against the freedom of every Albanian, took hostage, grabbed by the neck, with corruption and other methods, the man that we together supported him with all our heart, with all our energy and strength for 8 years, Lulzim Brava. Therefore, I also take the opportunity of this meeting to call on every Albanian to pause and think, to ask himself the question “Do we need political pluralism in Albania?” or to accept the ugly monism from which we suffered more than any other nation in Europe. ”
In conclusion former PM and first President of post communist Albania Sali Berisha put the question that what a narco-prime minister can do more than surround the house of the Democrats with murderers, traffickers, the so-called leaders of the opposition, surround it with police and attack the Democrats in the most savage way, to equip his gang with all the means of police violence, and to attack with mercenaries the Democrats just as the latter want to enter their house. / Argumentum.al
