The Reestablishment Commission of the Democratic Party (DP) has filed a criminal lawsuit against MPs Lulzim Basha and Gazment Bardhi, after throwing gas and violence against Democrats in the January 8 protest.
The news was announced by the DP Provisional Re-establishment Commission on Wednesday.
Basha and Bardhi are accused by the Re-establishment Commission of unauthorized use of chemical substances, destruction of property and use of violence.
On January 8, supporters of the veteran Democrat leader, Sali Berisha gathered in front of the DP headquarters in an effort to enter the building as a referendum has already dismissed Lulzim Basha.
Protesters dispersed as Basha called the police units which intervened with teargas and an attempt to enter the building failed because it was heavily armored in all its entrances. / Argumentum.al
