“Edi Rama’s regime can be overthrown with great revolt and dissatisfaction and never by elections,” said the well known political analyst, Fatos Lubonja in a TV talk show on Monday.
According to him, the March 6 local by-elections will help the majority to install a stronger regime. Lubonja said that it is difficult for the Democratic Party (DP) to come up with a candidate while they are facing a power that will take them all. “We have 3 oppositions, we have 2 DPs and SociaIist Movement for Integration (SMI). There are theses that (former PM Sali) Berisha joins (President Ilir) Meta, there are theses of compromise between DP. The situation in DP is difficult to come up with a candidate. Even these elections were held quickly. They are help of Meta given to Sali Berisha to prove that the.latter has the majority. These elections will show the true situation,” he said.
In addition Lubonja said the SMI does not know how it will participate in election.
“As I look at the situation beyond the March 6 elections, they (Socialists) have ridden the horse to govern Albania themselves.”
Lubonja thought that even when the DP was united it was endangered and let alone now.
“One can not think that Rama can do any charity to (DP head Lulzim) Basha. DP has received an irreparable blow. Other leaders must be born, Basha and Berisha are consumed figures,” said Lubonja. / Argumentum.al
