The Socialist Party (SP) chairmanship has endorsed the candidates for the local by-elections in the municipalities of Shkodra, Dibra, Durres, Vora, Rrogozhina and Lushnja. For Durres, they confirmed the current incumbent mayor, Emirjona Sako. For the municipality of Shkodra Majlinda Angoni who currently holds the position of prefect of the region was assigned.
The name of Rrahim Spahiu has been proposed for the Municipality of Dibra, and it is said he has a long career in public administration and banking.
Edison Memolla will run in the Municipality of Rrogozhina, while Blerim Shera is appointed to run in the Municipality of VorI.
Discussions are still going on the name of the candidate for the Municipality of Lushnfor. The final decision will be made public next Tuesday.
“There are so many candidates who have entered this process and to be precise, I together with the party leadership have decided to use this element. It started and could not be completed today,” said the head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla.
