The chairwoman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), Monika Kryemadhi said that there were no negotiations with the Democratic Party (DP) veteran leader, Sali Berisha on the March 6 elections regarding the creation of the coalition the ‘Freedom of House’. She revealed in an interview given to News 24 TV on Wednesday that President Ilir Meta is in a ‘political prison’, adding that he could hardly wait to get out of it. Meta is also husband of the SMI chairwoman who took that post when the former SMI head became head of state.
“I have not met Mr. Berisha since I met him in parliament. The SMI did not have negotiations with Mr. Berisha. Berisha is the engine of the establishment of the DP, but he also leads half of the Democratic parliamentary group that dismissed Basha. Meta is more than SMI. Meta is in a political prison as long as he will be there, but on the other hand Meta is beyond the SMI. We actually say the people of March 2, but those people were citizens of Edi Rama, because at that time their transport was blocked. “Basha knows this very well,” said Kryemadhi.
She said that she felt guilty only of one aspect of the SMI’s relationship with the Democratic Party and Lulzim Basha. This is related to the fact that she did not trust Ilir Meta who was skeptical about the cooperation with Lulzim Basha. / Argumentum.al
