“Albania is grateful to Croatia for its continued support to European integration and the opening of membership negotiations,” said on Tuesday Speaker Lindita Nikolla in a meeting with Croatian Minister of Justice and Public Administration Ivan Malenica, who is paying an official visit to Albania.
Speaker Nikolla praised the strategic partnership between Albania and Croatia, signed in 2018, the intensive political dialogue and the very good and friendly relations with Croatia and underlined that both countries share the same vision for the future of the Western Balkans.
Nikolla also emphasized the promotion of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, aiming to raise this cooperation to an excellent level of political cooperation.
According to her, Albania welcomes more Croatian investments and projects in strategic sectors, such as energy, tourism, infrastructure, agriculture, etc.
Nikolla said that “cooperation in the field of justice is an important aspect of bilateral cooperation and serves the consolidation of the system as well as the contribution of the judiciary in the fight against organized crime and corruption and the support of good governance.” She said that “Albania and Croatia cooperate closely in regional issues and support Kosovo’s role in the region and beyond.”
