The Democratic Party (DP) has repeated the accusations against the Prime Minister, Edi Rama regarding the incinerator’s affair. Through a video posted on “Facebook” on Sunday, DP said that Rama gave approval of the project even though it was reported that it was in violation of the law.
Full DP’s post: “Through a well-organized scheme of corrupt government officials, the theft of 430 million euros from the state budget was planned with the approval of Edi Rama. This happened even though it was reported that this project was in violation of the law, but he still approved it.
The Ministry of Finance under Shkelqim Cani rejected the project:
– There is no feasibility study, financial assessment, negotiated procedure without announcement in violation of the law.
– The former Minister of Finance was fired for refusing to be part of this affair. A minister is appointed and dismissed by the prime minister, so nothing has been done without the knowledge, support and approval of Edi Rama.
– Ahmetaj approves the contract opposed by Cani.
– Ahmetaj is an early connection with Mirel Mërtiri. He has traveled 12 times with incinerator owners during the 2012-2019 period.
Edi Rama is corrupt. His government is corrupt. With these at the helm, Albania can have no development. Albanians must abandon the past and the corrupt!”/ Argumentum.al
