Albania is among the first countries in the world who has made a concrete contribution to Ukraine, revealed the Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi, who expressed pride for the assistance that Albania has given to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“I am proud of the assistance provided to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a contribution to the protection of sovereignty and freedom. Albania is among the first countries in the world with a concrete contribution to Ukraine, “said Peleshi, who also shared on Twitter the post of Prime Minister Edi Rama on Wednesday.
Rama said earlier that, “despite being a small country among big powers of the world, we have known how to be listened to with respect in support of Ukraine at the UN, we have known how to be looked at with respect at NATO, we have known how to be treated with respect by the US and we have been closed to Ukraine with respect.”
However, there is no indication what kind of aid the Albanian government has provided to Ukraine.
In the meantime Albania has joined 95 countries as cosponsors of the UN General Assembly resolution on Russian aggression against Ukraine. The news was announced by Foreign Minister Olta Xhacka, who stressed that a united front has chosen peace.
“A united and growing front chooses peace, security and the UN Charter instead of illegal warfare. This is the choice the world is facing today. Vote YES! “Support Ukraine,” Xhacka said./ Argumentum.al
