“Today I had a call from President Zelensky, who thanked me for everything Albania is doing in these tragic days for his people, for Europe and for the whole world as co-sponsor with the US in the Security the aid for the Ukrainian army, as well as for the intensive engagement in diplomatic channels with important partners in support of Ukraine.”
This announcement was given by Prime Minister Edi Rama who had a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, on Saturday.
“I expressed to the Ukrainian president all the admiration and solidarity of the Albanian people in Albania and Kosovo, for him and the Ukrainian resistance, as well as the full will to do everything we can in our small size for Ukraine to triumph in its freedom-loving war,” stressed Rama.
Prime Minister Rama told President Zelensky “I do not want to repeat to you what the whole world is saying about you, but I am just telling you that I would like to be able to do more for you, for your country! And I wish you triumph!”
Thanking Prime Minister Rama for the phone call, Ukrainian President Zelensky said “if you want us to triumph, I want to assure you that we have both our ability and strength.”
Zelensky said the topic of the conversation was the fight against the Russian occupiers as it was also discussed the joint work within Ukraine.
“We appreciate the practical assistance and support of Albania in this difficult time. We are doing everything we can to end the war,” Ukrainian President Zelensky said on Twitter following a conversation with the Albanian prime minister. /Argumentum.al
