There are two weeks that Albanians protest against the skyrocketing price increase as they have warned that they will march from Skanderbeg square towards the prime minister’s office on Saturday.
The students will reportedly join the protest starting in front of the Polytechnic University at 10.00 on Saturday morning and then marching towards the government building.
Protesters have given PM Edi Rama an ultimatum to fulfill their demands until Saturday, otherwise they have warned that they will not leave the boulevard ‘Nation’s Martyrs’ if the urge of the protest is not realized.
Protesters have said that even tents are ready to stay in the square until the fulfilment of the demands.
For two weeks, almost all of Albania has been a scene of protests as the price of fuel reached record figures while the price of basket products has reached peaks. What will happen on Saturday remains to be seen, whether there will be any reaction by the government, or the citizens will be placed in front of the government building until the conditions are met. /Argumentum.al
