President Ilir Meta is invited by the head of the Turkish opposition, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, to visit Turkey. This invitation was extended by the mayor of Maltepe, Ali Kilic in a meeting they had in Tirana on Tuesday which was announced by Meta through social networks.
“I received today the Mayor of Maltepe, Turkey, Ali Kilic, with whom we had a fruitful discussion on the excellent and friendly relations between the two countries and our peoples. He conveyed to me the warm greetings of the Leader of the Opposition in Turkey, the Chairman of the Republican Party, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, as well as his invitation to visit Turkey soon, which I accepted with great pleasure,” said Meta.
The President noted that the strengthening of the sincere friendship between Albania and Turkey is a comprehensive and long-term interest of the two people.
Albania has strategic relationship with Turkey and Prime Minister Edi Rama has special friendly relations with the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, /Argumentum.al
