Albanian exports to North Macedonia increased by over 4 times during the first 2 months of this year, has announced INSTAT. Goods worth over ALL 3.6 billion were exported to northern Macedonia during January-February
INSTAT announced on Sunday that exports marked an increase of about ALL 2.7 billion compared to the first two months of 2021.
During the first two months of this year, imports marked a slight increase of only ALL 550 million. Referring to the data, imports were worth ALL 1.8 billion against ALL 1.3 billion that were in the first 2 months of 2021.
The most exported products continue to be fresh products: tomatoes, cucumbers, fresh fish, fresh citrus fruits, dough products, etc.
Albania and North Macedonia cooperate closely in the implementation of the CEFTA 2006 agreement and since 2011 trade between the two countries has been liberalized and operated without customs duties. /Argumentum.al
