The Democratic Party (DP) said in a statement released on Monday that MP Enkelejd Alibeaj is no longer the deputy chairman of the Democratic Party and does not represent it in any relations with third parties.
According to the DP, the request was submitted by illegitimate persons to appeal against the decision of the Tirana first instance Court.
“The appeal was filed by illegitimate persons to appeal against the above decision of the court,” said the statement.
A file presented by Democrat MP Enkelejd Alibeaj to the Appeals Court demands the cancellation of the ruling of the Tirana first instance Court regarding the recognition of the statutory changes initiated by former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha on 11 December 2021.
According to the DP statement, no one can take action on behalf of the Democratic Party as its National Assembly held on 11 December 2021 mandated the Re-establishment Commission as the sole governing body of the Democratic Party. Also, the Assembly dismissed Mr. Alibeaj as deputy chairman of the Democratic Party. So, he does not represent the DP in any relationship with third parties, concluded the statement. /Argumentum.al
