TIRANA, May 22 – Criminals are the only professionals left in Albania, the Democratic Party (DP) deputy, Dashanor Sula has said in response to a claim by Prime Minister Edi Rama that “there are jobs, but no professionals” and the latest events regarding with the crackdown on some underworld criminal groups by SPAK.
Sula said in a post on social networks on Sunday that unfortunately the socialist government has allowed the flourishing of gangs in Albania in the last 9 years of its governance.
“Money circulating in the country from drugs and corruption has turned the country into an unlivable state for normal people, for professionals who receive a salary with honest work,” noted Sula. According to him, there are indeed jobs, there are also professionals, but professionals and craftsmen do not face criminals, so they leave.
“In Albania, a young person who graduates has zero interest in staying in his country because no matter how good his salary is at the end of the month he will need money again to meet all basic needs. Because, as INSTAT has shown, a family that works in the profession spends 60-70% of its salary on food without mentioning clothes or obligations such as water, electricity and meeting the other daily needs of the family,” he said.
According to all economic experts, the phenomenon of leaving the country that is happening in Albania is a consequence of the flourishing of criminal activities.
“This situation has demotivated all young people who at best leave the country to create their own life abroad, but there is a massive spread of the sad phenomenon that young people who in their teens are recruited by criminal gangs. Enrichment is rapidly enticing them and is degenerating the future of the country,” said the lawmaker.
Sula concluded by saying: “Honest business in Albania is suffering. It is suffering because of the depopulation policies of this government. There are jobs, there are professionals, but professionals and craftsmen do not face criminals, so they run away.” /Argumentum.al
