TIRANA, May 27 – Albanian counterterrorism authorities have agreed with the Kurdish side on the repatriation of 13 Albanians from Syrian camps. This information was broadcast on Friday by Top Channel TV which announced that an agreement was signed.
In this operation launched 10 days ago, the director of the anti-terror authority, Alban Dautaj together with his colleague Indrit Doda took over the Albanians and they are expected to come to Albania in the coming days.
According to members of the Albanian representatives of anti-terror department in the talks, all repatriates enjoy full health and their identities cannot be disclosed at this time for security reasons. The operation was undertaken by US services in cooperation with the Kurdish ones.
A similar operation from Syria was carried out last August during which 14 children were repatriated, 6 of whom were born in Syria and 5 Albanian women.
